15 years and going strong

It was a fairly well kept secret, but: The Black Fox celebrated 15 years of ownership under the same landlord yesterday.
So congratulations to Allan and Julie, young Steve and the rest of the team, who have served their customers for the past decade and a half with cheery smiles, great food and decent ales.
And roll on to the 20th celebrations, Allan. I think we'll have all recovered by then!

I remember it well, the day that "young" Steve started at the Black Fox. I think he was six years old and mainly employed as a kitchen helper.
He was particularly partial to milk, I seem to remember, and would help himself to a pint or two from the refridgerator usually out of the direct gaze of the proprietor.
He thus earned the nickname "Two Pints" A name that, oddly, has endured to this very day.
