Community Support Laundry - update
- Katy (17th Apr 2013 - 14:07:47)

The Community Support Laundry of Liphook is delighted to announce that eight intrepid volunteers are going to skywalk over the O2 Millennium Dome in London to raise sponsorship cash for the laundry. The eight volunteers, including Chairman Irene Ellis and Vice-chair Barbara Frost, are looking forward to the challenge which will take place on Monday 3rd June.

Barbara is no stranger to extreme events having completed a parachute jump last year to also raise funds for local charities. She said she is thrilled to be able to complete another exciting challenge and is still looking for more sponsorship if anyone would like to help out.

Meanwhile the laundry now has the opportunity to be able to take on some new clients. If you feel you are having difficulty managing your laundry, especially if you are elderly or disabled, please contact Barbara Frost on 01428 723640. The laundry is also able to assist people who may be struggling due to unexpected hospitalisation, injury or illness. We are also happy to do one off washes or to launder just for a couple of weeks if regular carers are away or finding it difficult to cope. Please don’t feel you have to commit to a long term contract, one offs and short term use can easily be accommodated. Finally just a reminder that each load of washing laundered is charged at £6, for it to be washed, dried and ironed.
