Co-op Car Park
- Ben Lawrance (7th Feb 2008 - 13:01:17)

I've just been to the post office and had to park in the car park. Well, i call it a car park. It's more like a bomb pit.

It's in a terrible state. Holes everywhere.

Anyone else think that Co-op should do something about it?

Yes!!

Most times I go there I comment on it - but so far to no avail. Now more people will use it (re- passfield residents) something should be done and fast!

I don't know, my kids enjoy all the bouncing around while i try to park. They think it's great fun.
Seriously though, your right. Sometimes I park my car but often roll backwards into a dip. It definitely needs resurfacing. Quite dangerous too. More people will be using the post office now due to Passfields closure and they may well be boosting the co ops profit margin too. Are the co op responsible for the car park or is it down to someone else? Either way it needs sorting out.

I doubt they will do anything untill someone sues over a twisted ankle or a broken hip.

I doubt that individuals will be able to get the CO-OP to sort it out but a group like the PC, or even the Post Office should be able to pressurise them. It is not an unmade road but part of an established premisses so is owned by someone. I'm sure there is a health and safety implication involving minimum standards for public access and use.

Looks like you've got your wish Ben. They have started work on filling in the pot holes and will also be resurfacing it.

Ha Ha! haven't laughed so much for ages.

Little old lady sitting with her indicator on, waiting for the truck to move out of the entrance to the car park.

It was of course the work truck and the entrance was completely coned off. The jam trailed right back to the roundabout......
