Does anyone know what the minimum age is - am thinking about roping teenage sons in.
Also, if you have a cancer history are you allowed to donate?

[editor - www.blood.co.uk suggests that minimum age is 17 and you must weigh over 7st 12lbs]

Dawn,
You can give blood if you are aged between 17 and 59. As for cancer history, most types of cancer patients would not be allowed but you should call 0845 7 711 711 and tell them what type you have/had or what your family history is and they will advise you.
