Recycling empty inkjet cartridges.
- Dawn Hoskins (2nd Feb 2008 - 12:44:03)

I seem to remember I used to post these off somewhere in a prepaid envelope to be refilled?

I haven’t seen anything like it for a while.

Any ideas about recycling my empty HP cartidges?

We went to a place in Petersfield on the road to the station where the shops are its about the 3 rd shop at the end on the way to the station at the top. I can get the correct name for you as I have to go there Monday.

The other place is the Video shop in Haslemere next to the tan place and opposite Ask.

We did find with our HP printer they worked for a while, then it seemed the printer got 'savvy' and now wont except the refills. But it may work for you.

Good luck.

Thanks

I wasn't thinking about getting them refilled for myself - just trying to dispose of them in a 'green' fashion. Seems wrong to put them in landfill.

Dawn,

I buy mine direct from Viking, who send out Freepost bags, and it goes to Tommy's (the baby Charity). I also understand that a few other charities accept cartridges too. Sorry at this point have no info.

On the returns bag they state it takes 1000 years for cartridges to decompose - so if anyone can help with a worthy charity that accepts empty cartridges perhaps we can help the enviroment too!.

Sue

Just read the bag and it has a contact number for further bags - so please try

0800 435576 - quote 'Tommy's bag' (via inkagain.co.uk)

OR 08707 70 70 70 (Direct to tommy's charity)
