Dear All

We are now in our 3rd month and am pleased to say that the magazine is doing well. We would really love your comments and suggestions as well as any local stories you may have and anything to do with charity.

We have had a lot of positive feedback from Petersfield and Haslemere and other villages as well as National Charities but am yet to hear from anyone in liphook! as we are based here it would be nice to hear from you...

You can contact us direct on info@ctconnector.co.uk we would welcome anything you may have to say about the magazine and how it could be improved for your reading pleasure.

Looking forward to hearing from you
Many thanks

Ellen

I live fairly centrally in Liphook and haven't seen a copy of your magazine

Re: Ct Connector
- ellen (29th Jan 2008 - 16:18:27)

Tks for letting me know. In Liphook we are located in Sainsbury's by the customer service desk and we are in Co op , Urban Home Cafe the Hair Salons and the library. We are also always in the Gables newsagents in the Square. If you send me your address via my email info@ctconnector.co.uk I will ensure you get the next copy. In the meantime you can view the magazine in full online www.ctconnector.co.uk

Tks again

Ellen

Ellen,

I did receive a copy of your magazine through my letter box, but TBH I don't really understand what it's purpose is....we already have an excellent Parish Magazine, which I really enjoy reading.

Are you trying to compete with them?

Eneida

Re: Ct Connector
- Ellen (29th Jan 2008 - 17:25:23)

Many thanks for your comments Eneida.. Our magazine is designed as a lifestyle magazine with local and int'l content and is not designed to compete with the Parish magazine which has its own particular readership. Our editorials and reviews are designed for all ages and people with varied interests. We are also very interested in supporting local charities and businesses.

Dawn I will ensure the magazines are in Passfield and if you send me your address I will post one to your door.

Tks again all!

E

Thank you for the explanation Ellen!!

I must say I've never ever lived in a town where so many magazines come through the letter box....personally I prefer the trees....;)

Ellen,

You forgot to mention that Liphook Hardware (both shops) did have copies and requested further as all ours went fast. We did not get extra ones this month - was that because we did not advertise this time???

As far as we were concerd (advertising), your distribution was very hit and miss - and would really like to see more. I know you are a new magazine and it will take a while to establish yourself but on the whole there were a few interesting articles - it is really upto the community to help, together with your 'ear' for a good story should improve the content for locals.

Fair play for having a go, and wish you success.

Have you tried leaving some in the Dentists, Doctors?

Gosh Enieda you are a little harsh! although I am with you on the trees, within reason, I cant really name another local magazine which is similar to the Connector. I found it of high quality with some very interesting articles . I love the whats on and coming soon section as well as the dining out.pages .some places I never knew existed!

I do know the connector are very generous to local advertisers and are very professional in their approach and promises.

I suggest you stay with the parish magazine..though also very good..its very different...perhaps you should contact Connecter and ask them not to deliver to you anymore...that will save at least a twig...

Re: Ct Connector

Jon,

My comment about preferring trees to magazines wasn't directed solely at the Connector, that would be most unfair. I meant, of course, all the unsolicited literature that comes through my door, and believe me, there's plenty!!

I find it very annoying, but it's just my opinion....I believe we are all still allowed to have an opinion in this country....as long as it's nothing un-PC or about the EU referendum??

Did you need to be quite so patronising about the Parish Magazine? Of course it's different....that's why I like it!

I would like to echo Jon's sentiments above...I thought it was a really good magazine...informative, local news and a good dining out section. Look forward to receiving the next copy!

Re: Ct Connector
- Eneida Nelson (2nd Feb 2008 - 17:48:15)

Thank you so much Ellen for the latest copy of the Connector that has just come through my door...I shall file it next to the magazine I received yesterday from the Dalai Lama....I must say yours is rather more interesting than his ;)

Re: Ct Connector
- Tracey Hancock (3rd Feb 2008 - 15:16:15)

Ellen,

I received my first copy yesterday with the post, and I must admit I was about to throw it out - I mean recycle it - straight away, but I had a flick through and I was very pleasantly surprised. It's great to have a magazine with a wider coverage but centred on Liphook, ie covering Haslemere and Petersfield as well. So often we are on the periphery! Even the Liphook Herald seems to contain more news about Farnham than anywhere else...

I particularly like the section at the back which summarises all of the fitness classes in the area. What an excellent idea - thank you for doing the work on that one.

I would love to know who wrote the article about dog-walkers however - just as well they remained anonymous for their own sake I think!

Anyway I will definitely look out for it again. And then recycle it of course.

Thanks for the bunch of mags. I too think the writer of the doggie story should remain a secret. LOL

Dear All

I realise that it has been a few years since my last email and Connector Magazine has stopped publication a while back..This is due to my husband dying of cancer so under the circumstances I (we) could not carry on with the magazine. Was lovely looking back on your emails. Thank you.

Kind regards

Ellen
