boys gymnastics or martial arts
- Dawn Hoskins (2nd Jan 2008 - 19:49:34)

Is there anywhere that does boys gymnastics around here?

11 year old son. Used to go to Steve at Bohunt - but he is so laid back (the teacher) that Bill never did anything except bugger about!!

Please let me know if you can think of any where.

He would also like to learn a martial art? Any ideas locally?

Thanks for your help
Dawn

Don't know about boys gymnastics but there is karate (or something similar!) on at the Millennium Hall on a Thursday evening. I'm sure you could contact the centre for more details.

Steve had to stop the boys Gymnastics classes on Sat morning as I guess most had the same view as yourself and the numbers went right down. He does still run a trampoline class on Sat morning at Bohunt.

There is a Judo class at 9am Sat morning there also. Judo is a good starting point for kids as there is less impact and some other martial arts have higher age limits.

I think he is thinking of a more 'Jackie Chan' sort of thing - but I'll see what he says about the judo.

thank you both
would still look forward to hearing from any other posters
