BT Broadband
- Val Brice (22nd Feb 2013 - 14:59:41)

Is anyone in Liphook having problems with BT Broadband? We live in Griggs Green area and ours goes off sometimes three times a day. yesterday and day before morning, afternoon and evening.

Who is your ISP, do you still have ring tone and can you make calls.

Once you have this info then it is down to the ISP to fix.

I was having the same problem until I lost the broadband completely. After many failed attempts to the call centre, where everyone kept getting us to do the same thing, it was announced that we had a problem with the line.

Two engineers came out and said that BT have updated the lines in Liphook but haven't told anyone. Unfortunately depending on your hub, it may not be able to take the faster line capacity. They replaced my hub to the newest one available, replaced my telephone points and thankfully all appears to be good, even faster!

Two Friday's ago our BT broadband kept going down for a couple of minutes each and then it finally went down for good. I phoned the automated line to report the problem and the automated service called back 5 mins later to say there wasn't a problem with the line but from there on its been fine. I suspect that they did something but I'm just glad it's working now!

I had horrible problems for several months dropping many times a day and then worked for a day then dropping again. After repeated complaints and engineers to the house they (BT) decided to replace the wires from the pavement to the house. I put the hub right on the new outlet directly and have been having very reliable performnace since. Never did get any compensation for the months of bad broadband though.
