Children of Chernobyl - Alan (21st Feb 2013 - 09:34:40) In this age of the “big society” it still surprises me, that the powers that be, can still find millions of tax payers pounds to defend terrorists, rapists & murderers etc etc, but fear not, the same powers that be, are looking at new ways to fund this by introducing a new £86, per child, visa levy to children who are still suffering horrendous and appalling illnesses as a direct result of the Chernobyl disaster. The young children come to this country funded by the charity www.ccll.org.uk and stay with volunteer, host families for a recuperative break to help build up their immune system. Doctors, dentists, opticians all offer their services for free, in a region where it is very unlikely the children will receive an injection before any dental treatment. If you think this is unacceptable please sign the petition to the Prime Minister epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/37945 to voice your objection and please feel free to ask your family, friends and colleges to join you. Just to clarify the post above is not from me.
