Kim's a Forecourt Hero - Kevin Hooker (7th Feb 2013 - 21:27:27) Liphook Village Resident Kim Baker has been crowned 'UK Forecourt Hero of The Year' by Shell International Petroleum Limited. Kim Baker is the Forecourt Attendant at Shell Liphook South Services on the A3. The attendants fill up vehicles with fuel and offer free basic car care advice including checks on oil levels, screen wash levels, tyre pressures and tread.

Re: Kim's a Forecourt Hero - Heather (7th Feb 2013 - 22:45:38) In my one experience,overfill your vehicle with petrol making you pay the extra 1p/2p whilst putting the most expensive oil in your car then presenting you with the container at the till. Great way to top up forecourt sales. Sainsbury's for me im afraid. At least you can collect nectar points!

Re: Kim's a Forecourt Hero - Brian (8th Feb 2013 - 09:08:45) Why can't we just praise the person for good customer care, it always seems that good old fashioned service means nothing today. Everybody just wants the cheapest they can find regardless of how polite the staff are.

Its about time we got some of that good old fashioned customer service back. PS. I do believe if you don't want your oil/screen wash topping up the word is no thank you. Just one thing to think about, is a business about making a profit because if you don't make a profit are you not then a charity? 100% fair play to this garage. (as long as its not pressure selling)

Can't believe a lot of these threads are on the negative side, why can't we just be happy that someone in our area has achieved something good? In my opinion, a bit of old fashioned personal service and help should only be commended. Keep up the good work! Char.
