Where is George ?! - Mark F (5th Dec 2007 - 00:04:30) We thought we'd push the boat out this weekend what with 2 recent Birthdays and an anniversary, I really wanted to do something special for my wife, so she didn't have to cook After much debate I felt Fish and Chips was better than the late evening discounted Co-Op sandwiches so off I pottered to the local Fish & Chip shop. I was very surprised to see that George has left the Chippie !! He may well have been gone for months (or even years - since it was a while since we had our previous big celebration - 10 years of marriage). I have to say I was a bit gutted - as he is one of the friendliest guys around, so I wish him and his wife well on whatever new venture they have embarked upon. I hope there is not too much change with the new proprietor - as you can't beat a Saturday night when the young ones have downed a cola panda pop or 2 - not sure what they put in there, but it makes them bounce off walls ! The food was good though. If anyone knows where George has gone - let us all know. Cheers for now, Finchie
