Liphook Library Car Park - Jill Shackleton (4th Dec 2007 - 11:30:16) Everyone at Liphook Library is extremely sorry for the inconvenience and confusion caused by the closure of the Library car Park. Extensive work to the building's drains meant that the car park was comprehensively dug up. It then did not prove possible to re-lay the original surface in a usable way. I closed the car park when I realised that holes appeared at the slightest pressure and asked that a solution be found so that it could be used safely again. It has been difficult to find money to re-surface the car park, when this was not in any budget for this year, but on realising how important the car park is to Liphook Library users, money has now been found. Work to re-surface will start during the week of December 3rd and it is hoped that the car park will be open again before Christmas. I can only apologise again for the inconvenience and hope that by trial and error, we have now come to the best answer for Liphook Library users.
