Race for Life 2013 - Emma Simmonds (28th Jan 2013 - 21:38:11)
Hi everyone,
Myself (Emma Simmonds) and my sister (Megan Simmonds) are taking part in this years Race for life to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Many of may know of my Grandad, Russel Ellis, through his amazing contribution to Liphook over the years and his late wife Betty Ellis who sadly passed away in 1998. My sister and I will be running this years race for life in loving memory of our Nan, Betty.
For those that had the pleasure of knowing my Nan she was a loving and caring lady who is still surely missed by her family. We hope that we can make her and my Grandad proud by raising money for Cancer Research in her memory.
In order to help us raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause we would appreciate the support from our local community.
There are two ways that people can donate:
You can now donate by text. All you have to do is text EMMZ91 £4 to 70070. PLEASE NOTE.. there is no charge for sending this text. Simply the £4 donation cost which all goes straight to charity.

Or perhaps if you do not wish to donate you may want to join us in taking part in this years Race for Life.

Well done girls. I didn't know your nan but I do work alongside Russ on Liphook in Bloom.
I hope you raise a stack of cash towards fighting this dreadful illness which takes so many close friends and family from us.
My donation is just going through.
