Nicknames
- Editor (15th Nov 2007 - 09:58:55)

The original "Nicknames" thread is being removed from this site.

Some of the posts on it started to get out of hand, and it is not possible to just remove certain posts without affecting the meaning of the entire thread.

This was another situation where people need to THINK before making a post. But more importantly they need to know when it is best NOT to post at all !

Once again - I am not here to be the playground supervisor - if you can't play nicely together then you will not be allowed out of the classroom ....... :-)

Lets keep the forum for topical information about Liphook, both good and bad - but please don't start something that you have not got the stomach or the facts to finish.

So can we go back to the original thread (please!) which was that nicknames are not necessarily a bad idea?
Some people, for all sorts of reasons may not want to give their real names and if the post is not abusive or offensive and is topical - why not? 'Slippy socks' thinks that's a bit silly but what is wrong with a bit of levity?

Nice one Ed!
Mind you, it could have been quite entertaining to see those two amazons come face to face. You would have no problems selling tickets for it!!

[editor - personally I was thinking that we should start the "Liphook Mud Wrestling Club" - first 2 members would be easy to sign up!]
