Coomers kitchen? - Jane Ives (30th Dec 2012 - 10:28:53) We are currently getting quotes for a new kitchen, and Coomers have offered us a good price. But has anyone had a kitchen fitted by Coomers and would you recommend them?

Re: Coomers kitchen? - James (30th Dec 2012 - 15:23:45) We recently bought a kitchen from Coomers which I fitted myself and I am happy to recommend them as a straight-dealing company without the hard sell. However, I think I'm right in saying that Coomers don't do the fitting, they leave it to the customer to choose someone to do the work, though they can suggest some local fitters.

Moben has deservedly gone bust (I enjoyed burning our Moben kitchen fitted only five years earlier!) but there are plenty of rotten firms still out there. A Which? survey showed that Wickes is well-liked as is John Lewis if you can afford it. (Only £1 for temporary membership of Which?). Websites such as reviewcentre.com are useful too. Good luck!

Re: Coomers kitchen? - Janet (26th Sep 2013 - 22:54:49) A bit late in responding but in case anyone else is interested, we bought a kitchen from Coomers and couldn't have been happier with the service, price and kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble and the fitter they put us in touch with did a superb job. I like to support local businesses where possible and it is great to have such an excellent service on the doorstep, not to mention a massive choice of kitchens that I felt would be hard to find elsewhere. Re: Coomers kitchen? - Phil (28th Sep 2013 - 10:49:40) We had a Moben kitchen fitted 3 years ago and it was overpriced for what it actually is. However we are happy with it. I know folk who went with Coombers and had an excellent experience. Next time I would go with Coombers and buy local.
