Resident meeting, Wednesday 24th April, 7.30pm, Millennium Centre
- Bramshott & Liphook Parish Council (23rd Apr 2024 - 11:52:52)

Just a reminder, that all residents are warmly invited to attend our meeting tomorrow evening at the Liphook Millennium Centre at 7.30pm.

Local organisations/groups will be in attendance with table top displays giving details about what they do and how you might want to get involved.

There will be an interesting talk from Dr Andy Moffat on managing green spaces in the 21st century and how residents can get involved.

You will also hear from a report from the Parish Council, and our District and County Councillors will also be in attendance.

Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

The various presentations on the evening were interesting.

What I personally took away was that BLPC staff costs totaled £295,605 in 23/24. That was by far the greatest cost in the list of expenditure.

While not disputing any good work carried out by BLPC it's still a shock to see that the vast majority of cost is running the Council and paying the staff.

The Council’s services are delivered by its employees so I’d expect salaries to be the largest part of the budget.
