Recycling for Kids (Weds 11 June doorstep collection)
- Paul2 (11th Jun 2025 09:35:53)
Many of you may have received a pink envelope branded 'Recycle' and 'Kids - Disabled Children say we can' which is asking for doorstep clothing donations.
Let's look at pure facts here, not speculation.
The envelope is promoted by a company (back, bottom right) 'Fundraise Together'. That is registered with Companies House.
The director - who I won't name - is also a director of 17 other companies, many promoting clothing recycling for various causes.
Some further research returns the information that all these companies have 1 controlling parent company - Green Sequoia Limited - which is owned by - yes, you guessed it! - that one, same individual who enjoys all the dividends! He is listed as a Polish national, with multiple addresses. In fairness, this is all correct but these are Ltd Co's with the purpose of generating profit for dividends, not exclusively for charitable causes.
So I would just say this - always do your due diligence and be careful of what charities you support.
My 'Fundraise Together Limited' recycling bag is in the bin, where it should be.
[editor]Better to recycle the bag for garden waste than putting it in the bin empty.[/editor]

(It went in the recycling bin in fairness - but yes, agree Ed!)
[editor]Also good as laundry bags when on holiday 👍[/editor]

I always use these bags as kitchen bin liners as I don't have much to recycle.
