Hollycombe house - Local (31st May 2025 - 20:47:14)
Just come by Hollycombe not been that way for a long while. My god what a development the whole valley has been scooped out the house is covered in scaffolding huge crane operating. Massive car parking. Something about housing on the gates . This happening in the National Park seems odd. Anyone know what’s going on.

We have a large display about Hollycombe House on the first floor balcony at the Millennium Centre.
The display features the history of the Hollycombe House and details of the design & construction currently underway.

Can I come see this display during normal hours? I’m quite interested in the history. Thanks.

The display can be viewed at the Millennium Centre on the first floor landing. Access is via the stairs or lift.
The Heritage Centre is open on Mondays and Fridays between 10.00am and 12.30pm and 10.30am to 2.00pm on Wednesdays.
Outside these hours ask the Millennium Centre staff for access to the first floor to view the exhibition.

Daisy do think that was a rehearsed response because that development seems to be very secretive and is an enormous project still think it’s going to be something different.

Well obviously it's client confidentiality. So they can't say too much. But no. There was a planning application put through.

The editor has linked to a detailed thread which already explains that the property now belongs to the BP Pension Fund, and the wider Planning Permission restores the property but has given rise to concerns about it's future purpose.
