I think 1st April and AI might point you in the right direction for info?
Re: Office block - Joe (4th Apr 2025 - 09:14:10)
Yes probably April fool saw on Facebook on 1st April that the local council were paying to have the mini roundabouts in Liphook replaced with traffic lights instead. As if the local councils would pay for it? Really?
I take it back, apologies AI.
Sensible development in light of the lack of need for office space and requirement for small "affordable" flats ........ except they're unlikely to be truly affordable?
Re: Office block - D (6th Apr 2025 - 11:39:39)
This is a privately owned building so presumably the dwellings will be rented or leased. If the owner isn't making much in renting out office space as a result of desk dwellers working from home I think it an excellent alternative to generate revenue from the building. Good luck to them I say.
Re: Office block - AF (7th Apr 2025 - 08:40:47)
The top floor is already flats so no great issues converting the rest of the building.
Obviously the council will want to reduce office space in Liphook so there's more demand for the ones they recently built.
Re: Office block - D (7th Apr 2025 - 12:20:08)
As I stated, the building is privately owned, nothing to do with the council.
