Community Support Laundry - Irene Ellis (22nd Feb 2022 - 16:07:02) The Community Support Laundry of Liphook is not part of The Day Centre. We are a small charity and it is run by 6 volunteers and a laundress. The Laundry is not only for the elderly but of any age that has been in hospital and need help temporarily, or permanently need our assistance through being incapacitated. Because we are a non-profit making, we strive to keep expenses to a minimum. Each bag of washing of 9lb of weight is washed dried and ironed individually at the cost of £6-50. Some people use the service on a weekly basis, others Fortnightly, or even less frequently. Although we ask that washing be delivered and then collected from the laundry premises, if there is a problem, collections can be arranged by the volunteers but only if you live in Liphook. So please if you need help or you know someone who could benefit with our laundry service please contact us or call into the laundry. Possibly people don’t know about it spread the word. Old saying use it or lose it. Lovely ladies to .
