Table lamp not working
- C (16th Jan 2022 - 15:45:06)

We have a table lamp bought from John Lewis a few years ago that has decided not to work. It is not the bulb or the fuse.

It is the type of lamp that does not have a switch - you touch the body of the lamp to turn it on, make it brighter and turn it off.

We think it may be something inside the body of the lamp but are not qualified to check.

Can anyone have a look or suggest someone who could? Don’t want to pay more than the price of a new lamp!

It's a touchlamp then? I had one of those, same thing happened to mine. Binned it and got one with a switch.

Take it to electrical shop in Weyhill
It may take a couple of weeks but Henry is excellent.
Good luck!

Thank you, will give this shop a try.

Thanks for the suggestion of the electrical shop in Weyhill - unfortunately they say they cannot fix this type of lamp.

Any further ideas before it goes to the dump?
