Redundant road signs
- C (14th Dec 2021 - 09:45:08)

Hello. Does anyone know who's best to notify about the redundant road signs immediately facing as you exit the A3 and come into Liphook? There;s a yellow one about the Hindhead tunnel which looks like it's been left abandoned. Happy to contact the council but not sure if it's them or Highways England (or other?) thanks.

I completely agree. It seems that most of our local roads have become littered with redundant road signs, their vacant, rusting, angle iron support frames and abandoned cones.

The result is that when genuine warning signs are erected they are largely ignored by motorists believing that these too are irrelevant !

Regarding sign relative to A3 or Hindhead tunnel you need to contact Highways England

Ref the road signs within the Parish, suggest contacting the relevant Parish Councillor and bend their ear to try and get some progress and don't be fobbed off.

As regards the tunnel, I think Simon has given the correct answer; but it is located in Surrey. Good luck with progressing anything on that one!
