Nightmare getting a plumber! - Caroline (8th Nov 2021 - 11:16:40) Has anyone else found it extremely tricky to get a plumber? I've been in contact with a couple recommended on this site and whilst both visited and provided quotes, I now can't get hold of them for love nor money! Is it simply the time of year? I'm getting really frustrated trying to get someone to do the work!

Re: Nightmare getting a plumber! - G (8th Nov 2021 - 14:14:00) Time of year people suddenly want jobs done before Christmas , seen it time and again WE used to get it quote somebaody12 months ago come back november we need it by christmas !!!! Plus catching up after the last 18months not enough plumbers for the jobs out there

Re: Nightmare getting a plumber! - Caroline (8th Nov 2021 - 16:41:08) Fair enough if only short notice is given. We first got the quote and accepted it a couple of months back. Apparently a fairly quick job too. Just losing hope of ever getting anyone to actually undertake the work!

Supply and demand am afraid, too much work on since both pandemic and some (that I used as least whom were good) have left the country and gone home for good it seems

It really is a nightmare, especially when its something urgent

Currently the only outside tap we have is in the garage and it's not easy to water the back garden! So we've had quotes before but then don't seem to be able to reach the plumber to come back and do the work. thanks, Caroline
