Liphook Village Market re opening
- Lesley Hollands (27th Aug 2021 - 14:31:42)

At last the Liphook Village Market will be starting again in The Millennium Hall on Saturday 11th September. A lot of stall holders are very keen to be there again and greet customers old and new.

The market will open at 10am and close at 1. There will be refreshments available and its free entry and free parking.

We all look forward to seeing you again after all this time.

Lots of stalls have booked in and I will be there with a range of preserves including various marmalades, chutney, jams and jellies.

I shall also be baking a large frangipan tart, a lemon drizzle, bara brith, various quiches, sausage rolls and cheese scones amongst other things.

There will be space to sit and have a coffee and a slice of Ann's cake and catch up with friends.

All of us at the market look forward to welcoming you back.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Millennium Centre on Saturday.

Do we have to wear masks in accordance with the Millennium Centre Covid Protocol and are we now allowed to use the toilets?

You can choose to wear a mask or not and yes the toilets are open or at least the disabled one certainly is.

Out of respect for others and to protect vulnerable people I think mask wearing in crowded indoor places and public transport should be worn.

Wearing them not only helps to stop the spread of Covid, but other diseases as well, coughs, colds, flu etc. How often in the past before Covid have people in crowded indoor spaces been seen and heard coughing and sneezing usually over other people and stock.

I always wear a mask in shops where people have to go and it is also a way of acknowledging the fact that the people who work there have to wear masks all day. Wearing a mask for short periods of time is not a big ask.

With regard to restaurants and pubs that is a personal choice because if people feel vulnerable they don't have to go there.
