morrisons cancelled deliveries
- godric (27th Jan 2021 - 16:29:12)
I have just had my second food delivery order with morrisons cancelled
Has anyone else experienced this - or know what the problem at the Aldershot branch is?

I should have had a order on Monday this week after it didn’t arrive I phoned and was told they couldnt give me any idea when it would arrive and the customer services dept couldn’t get thru to the aldershot branch where the delivery was coming from so I actually cancelled it as they had no idea when it would come

Currently waiting for our 2pm-3pm delivery !
Apparently a van breakdown is causing the delays.

I had this problem with Morrison's after Xmas.
After waiting 2 days and making multiple phone calls and being told our shopping was being loaded - they emailed saying the delivery was cancelled.
No explanation. No apology. And worst of all, no food for us or my elderly parents!!

I put a order in to arrive saturday between 10pm till 11pm was emailed to say would not be arriving till sunday same time, waited up till midnight didnt arrive. Phoned them 5 times got cut off 3 time then managed to speak to someone who assured me my delivey would come on monday, so waited up again till midnight never arrived and received no contact from them. Rang them on tuesday told them i was cancelling order which they did but still took money for order which took 3 days to get back i will never shop with them again.

So, our Morrisons delivery never arrived yesterday - no contact by them at all to apologise or explain.
Luckily we also had a Sainsburys delivery booked for today which we managed to add the missing essentials to.
Mid afternoon today a white agency van turned up with yesterday’s order - we refused it. Driver said many others had also refused to accept their orders.

Ah yes the “broken van” excuse, had that one twice this month already,
Did anyone get the £10 apology coupon? I was offered than twice and guess what... that never arrived either.
They never delivered any of our stuff on time, always a day or more late with a driver blaming someone else or the van etc.

my second order never arrived.... and days later...
Over the last 48 hours I have spoken to 6 different people and have been advised-
1 the van broke down
2 an IT failure.
3 a text message will be sent with your revised delivery slot - neither the text or the order arrived.
4 delays are due to bad weather - I live in Surrey Sussex border area and we did have a little rain - hardly a cause for delay
5 your order has been lost !!! - it's still on your IT system?
6 I re-ordered verbally with your colleague and was told a confirmation email would be sent with a delivery between 10.00 am and 18.00 on Friday or Saturday- the email never arrived and my order has STILL not been delivered.
Whilst I appreciate we are living in difficult times the lack of communication , the endless meaningless excuses and absence of customer care is unacceptable
i am voting with my feet!

Will not be using Morrisions again.
Delivery that was supposed to arrive on Tuesday between 5.00pm- 6.00pm turned up on the Wednesday just before 11 o'clock at night. Only got half of my shopping all the frozen and fresh fruit was missing. Two packets of mince meat only had 24 hours left on the use by date.
Did manage to get a refund but it meant I had to go shopping to collect the missing items which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place.

Got everything I wanted at Sainsbury’s liphook no problem. Well stocked and safe shopping. Can’t understand people going out of liphook to shop. Stay in liphook and stay. Safe.

I shopped at Sainsburys Saturday evening. Trolleys were sanitised, felt very safe and bought everything I wanted. Well done Sainsburys.

I must be the chosen one. My Morrison’s order arrived on correct day and time. Woop woop. Although couldn’t receive my frozen goods as freezer door was stuck shut. I did offer use of a hammer.

Shopped at Lidl Petersfield today.
Well stocked,quiet,polite staff and bargains!
What’s not to like, extra pennies left in the purse for next time.
Lidl beats Sainsburys every time.

Susan Yes but we are not supposed to travel out of our area that is what is spreading the virus. There is no need to travel out of Liphook plenty of food here in LIPHOOK.

@ Concerned,
You have no idea why I travelled to Petersfield, and so do not start trolling me for my positive comments in relation to Lidl.
Wild horses could not drag me into Sainsburys and as for the other small shops, they are just that small.
Doesn’t take long for the comments posted to start to jump to conclusions without all the facts.

There is a need to travel outside of liphook for food as sainsbury liphook do not do click & collect groceries.
People who are shielding are advised to not go to the supermarket so if there's no one else to fetch the shopping then we have no choice but to travel to a supermarket that does offer click and collect.
More chance of catching and spreading in a shop than collecting your shopping outside in the car park.

Concerned,
Some would argue that Petersfield is local, remember that the government have refused to give a definition to local. Boris went for a 7 mile bike ride is that local? Petersfield is only around 10 miles.

As for supermarkets and local, there is no definition.
I am allowed to visit garden centers, DIY centers and food stores, not stipulated within any radius of where I live. Along with GPs, Dentists, etc.
When this is not available on my doorstep why should I not go and collect / uttilise this, it’s not a social gathering, it’s about obtaining essential goods/ materials / resources etc.

and Mark, if you were house hunting, providing you had a sale on your own house running or could buy without selling, you could drive anywhere in the country to view properties!
