100-DAYS

I have decided to launch a website to try and get people walking more around the village. 100-days is directed towards families to try and get them to walk for 1hr a day for one hundred days. Children can earn certificates which you can print off at home. There is also a calendar so it is visualised how far or how close you have to go to reach 100 days.

The resources for adults is still being worked on and will include places to walk and why walking is important.

I have done a few updates to the site, such as release of a map of some local walking spots and introduced two calculators, one of which is for you're BMI and a Calories Burned Calculator.

James,
I cant help but think part of the reason for your lack of response could be related to a namesake "James" whom has recently laid ruin to anything and everything on this forum, I do hope am wrong.
Anyway I think you should be supported for your efforts, its a very kind effort. I have put such an effort many years ago into a well known GPS based activity tracker and I think with support you could well add such a thing to your idea in that you can, group, record and challenge people locally to record and works towards the goals your suggesting. Currently your suggestion whilst full of effort doesn't really qualify the challenge to them.
I had 30000 people in one of my monthly challenges a few years back, and still hit 6000 a month with a similar idea that started with 4 people and a similar to yours generous yet free to this day idea of getting people active.

If you are not “know it all” James then you perhaps should use a different name, after all this is Talkback so you can be whoever you want to and no one will ever know.
