Dementia - Support for Carers - Louise (27th Aug 2020 - 07:33:17) Are there any groups in Liphook for people who care for loved ones with Dementia? I think it would help my father to chat to others in a similar situation. Thank you

The local contact details in the community magazine are: Liphook Carers Sonia Meredith 01428 288913 soniameredith@icloud.com My mum who had vascular dementia is now flying with the angels as of February but having cared for her I do understand the difficulties and stresses that come with this dreadful disease. Re: Dementia - Support for Carers - Elaine Knox (28th Aug 2020 - 16:36:10) Liphook Carers Group welcomes all Carers but we do have a number of Carers who are dealing with dementia and sharing often helps. We normally meet on the first Wednesday of the month 10am - noon in the Millennium Hall but we are currently holding socially distanced meetings in the garden there. Re: Dementia - Support for Carers - Penny Leigh (1st Sep 2020 - 14:58:17) I am one of the managers at Liphook Day Centre, based from the Peak Centre in the Midhurst Road Car park. We sadly have been closed due to the current pandemic but are re-opening as a day centre to 10 clients as of Wednesday and Thursday next week. we offer respite to those with onset dementia from 10;30am to 3:00pm on these days and we have a few limited spaces available if you are interested. The fee is £15 per day and they will receive company, reassurance, a host of activities and a home cooked meal. Please contact me on 01428 724941 or 07724333730 for further information
