Using a battery with an inverter – help wanted
- Local resident (13th Jul 2020 06:13:20)
Hey folks. I need to run a piece of equipment off a 12v leisure battery, through an inverter. I have rigged something up myself, but it is just not performing like it should. To be honest, it is beyond me. I have concluded that I don’t have the skills or understanding of the technology. Or indeed the risk.
I am looking for someone who can set something up for me. Any suggestions in the area for someone - or a company - with these skills? I am looking to buy in expertise/services, not receive advice on how to do it.
The bit of equipment is rated around 150 watts. I think…!

Voltage should not be below 11.6v on battery keep it topped up.
Wires from the battery should be as short as possible and multi strand thick ish wire.

Thanks for this - I should have been more clear, I am looking for a company/business that I can pay to provide this sort of set up. I don't want to do it myself. So a specialist electrician, perhaps.
A long shot, I would acknowledge.

You need to buy an Inverter 12v DC to 240v AC - 300w available from TLC-direct.co.uk
part no. TL INV300ST this has a 13 amp socket incorporated - all you have to do is connect the black and red wires to the battery.
