Ipad - can anyone help me please?

I am having a problem with my Ipad, I click on the facebook app, and a blue page comes up with the facebook icon in the middle, then it immediately disappears. I can get into all the other apps, but not facebook, being an 80 year old idiot when it comes to technical things, I dont know what to do, so help please

Hi Wendy
First thing to try would be to completely shut it down - power off - and then switch it back on, it’ll take a little while, but then try facebook app again.
Do you know how to close down apps ? You might have too many left open as well.

Hi Wendy, i’m no expert and I don’t have an iPad but when things like that happen on apps, if you’ve installed all updates, as a last resort I usually uninstall the app and then reinstall it again.

Hi Wendy
If you double click the home button, when on the main screen showing all your apps. You will then see all the open apps. You just swipe them up individually and off the screen to shut them down.

Hi
That action does not delete the app (swiping it off the screen) it justs shuts it down.
You just press the app icon as usual to restart it.

Failing that give it a hard restart.
Press and hold the power and home button simultaneously and keep holding them until the screen goes blank, release them when the Apple logo pops back up.

I had this happen to my iPad. I deleted the app then reinstalled it which worked for me.

To delete app you hold the icon and you should get a command to delete.. when you have deleted go to App Store and reinstall fa. Hope this works

Thank you all so much, I've managed to delete the app, and someone is trying to talk me through getting facebook reinstalled, will let you all know if and when I manage it, oh to be young and clever. Thanks again

Thank you all so much for your advice, and kind words. My granddaughter came yesterday and fixed it in about 5 seconds. But I did manage to find and put in the pass word once she had gone. Again thank you, and stay safe and well everyone x
