Sky Broadband
- IGS (21st Jun 2020 12:59:18)
Is anyone else having very erratic connectivity issues from Sky Broadband recently? Not sure if the issue is with Sky or my 10 year + router.

Yes! We're having big trouble with ours too!
Stopping,starting and not behaving itself.
Very frustrating

Absolute rubbish for the last week or more. Been onto Sky, that in itself is an assault course.
Tried remote fixing (laughable) sent out new router, just as bad if not worse. Gave in and brought a wi-fi extender (My PC can see the router) but give it a try it could not be any worse.
Guess what,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, still as bad if not worse. Wouldn't mind if it was cheap.

We are with Plusnet and for at least a week we have had problems. A broadband speed test shows 20 Mbs (supposed to be 38; when is it ever?) but despite this all devices in the house are struggling. Youtube for instance keeps stopping as the download can't keep up with real time.
Can it be a fault in the local exchange or cabinet? We are in the Haslemere Road area.

just remember if broadband is delivered via telephone cable it all goes via bt network if you use bt they cannot blame somebody else for the problem
Been using bt for a few years hardly ever a problem it might cost a bit more but seems worth it

Yes we’ve had issues with sky, quite a few drops recently but seems to have settled a bit.
Was with BT before, that was dreadful, dropped way more than sky and the speeds were considerably worse.
