charity shops
- Marilynn Wallace (17th May 2020 19:55:45)
Does anyone have any idea as to when charity shops might open again? As with many of us during the lockdown, we've done a real clear out and cull and have lots of things to donate to a charity shop.

Liphook Care Charity shop is opening for donations only, She has said
that tomorrow (Monday 18th) will be the last day. as they are running out
of storage.
We will also be at the shop on Mondays and Thursdays ONLY from the 27th 11am-1pm taking donations, these MUST be in a sealed (non returnable) bag, only 2 bags per person, just what you would carry whilst out on a daily walk. Definitely NO car loads, and NO unnecessary journeys.
If you are unsure you can always ring us on 01428 727211. Items most welcome at the moment are Winter clothes, Jigsaws, and small household bric a brac.
This will ONLY be for Mondays and Thursdays, as this means we can leave said items for 3 days before we have to touch and move them. Many thanks

I've got a lot of novels - in good condition. I've collected LOTS over the years and my book cases have been groaning - so I've done a cull. Would you be able to accept them??

There is always a home for your unwanted books at Frimley Park Hospital. They have a 2nd hand bookshop, and have managed to fund a wonderful buggy (volunteer driver included!) to go round the hospital instead of using a wheelchair. It is brilliant and paid for entirely by the sale of books.
You might have to hold on to the books until someone is gong to the hospital after lockdown.

Hi all, I know that some shops will open on Monday - do we know if charity shops are included? I appreciate that many will have a lot of sorting out and catching up to do being closed for months. As with many others, we have had a big clear out whilst being at home and have quite a few bags of clothes that we no longer need. Thanks!

Tanya Wilkinson Liphook Charity Shop will re-open on the 15th June,
donations will be very strict due to quarantine rules put in by the
government, ALL donations must be in SEALED plastic bags, 2 bags per
person Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri, ( due to 3 day quarantine and space) hope
that helps
