Brown bin collection
- Bob (10th Aug 2022 - 18:31:44)

Is anyone else having issues with Brown bin collections? I have checked and my license is in date but strangely they keep missing it. I have contacted East Hants council and was given the below point of contact but no joy in getting a hold of this person either by phone or email. What ever happened to customer service and getting a return call from a customer who has a genuine problem!

Tried calling and emailing the contact provided with no response. Is There any other way to contact an individual at East Hants Council? They seem to take money for a service then don’t provide it and have no accountability. Very frustrating the whole thing. Driving around Liphook there seems to be a lot of others having issues given that their brown bins are still out after collection has taken place.

I've obviously always been lucky.
Whenever I've had a problem with the brown bin or brown bin collections I've called the main EHDC number and then gone through the press this for that malarky and talked to someone in the recycling/brown bin department and they've always been really helpful and contacted the contractors on my behalf and it's all got sorted.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been given a number/email address that doesn't respond, but I suppose there's a chance that they are on holiday and haven't put in an automatic response to let you know.

Same problem with our black bins last week.
Due to the continued sense of self entitlement for people to park their cars on pavements and half on the roadway, the lorry was unable to drive through and collect.
Not their fault, but try getting through to an actual living person to report in the hope of another attempt to empty the bins, no chance.
Wouldn't mind if the people who actually park these cars lived in our road.
