Liphook has a long tradition of it's football club over many generations.
Who can remember to the present day the best player of the their time, may also have gone to greater success?

I do not know when he played for Liphook United but according to Wikipedia Mick Channon came from Shrewton in Wiltshire and played for Southampton from around the age of 14.

great to know that mick channon and his windmill celebration played for liphook united
was england's best player on that fateful night against poland when we missed out on qualifying for the 1974 world cup

Two players in my time living in Liphook.
First a chap who played for me when I was Liphook manager his name Taff Leysham. Taff was in the army at Bordon and was an Army international and also played for the combine services
Second was a local boy Michael Marshall. Michael was a Liphook lad born and bred. Michael also played for me and was a wonderful talent.
