No more face rags
- AF (19th Jan 2022 - 15:25:44)

Yes sense has returned to the country.
From next Thursday you will no longer be required to wear face masks or face rags as I prefer to call them anywhere.

I actually prefer everyone wearing them, especially in winter in confined busy spaces such as shops and trains.

Horses for courses and all that.

Should have made it from tomorrow

200+ people died in East Hampshire from Covid and AF is making fun out of all the good people doing their bit to protect each other.

AF just likes to wind people up - best to ignore him. He needs to get a life.

This post sort of links up with some on Facebook Liphook Community page. If AF is who he appears to be then there perhaps needs to bit a bit of community understanding (whilst still ignoring his silly point of view). Liphook Covid stats are still shocking. BE SENSIBLE.

Re: No more face rags

World health organisation is still advocating the use of masks and for such a simple thing I really do find AF's stance rather pathetic.
Regards the decision to change the guidance next week that is pure party politics trying to pander to the likes of AF in an attempt to regain some popularity. Unfortunately for them it looks like the general public as a whole are actually in favour of continuing there use so it may well backfire.

Re: No more face rags
- AF (20th Jan 2022 - 19:46:28)

Pete

You mention the WHO advocating their use, this is a world organization hence the name and most other countries have not got such a good vaccine policy as UK and therefore it needs to keep masks on but not the UK.

You also mention the majority of people want to keep the masks, have to disagree with you, there is a large amount of people already refusing to wear masks when its law. If you saw the Masters snooker last week at least 80% of the audience were mask less.

As for your political point there is a bit a party politics going on but that happens with most things and is part of life.

I just think life needs to return to normal, and normal is NOT walking around with a mask on.

"Normal" to a lot of people is living with compassion and consideration for others.

Re: No more face rags
- Pete (21st Jan 2022 - 12:35:16)

AF- regarding majority opinion, this thread would suggest otherwise.

Re: No more face rags
- Gerry (21st Jan 2022 - 12:46:56)

I will still be wearing mine in shops etc hardly a hardship is it.

Re: No more face rags
- Caroline (21st Jan 2022 - 13:45:49)

I'll also still be wearing a mask to protect others.

Re: No more face rags
- Penny Williamson (21st Jan 2022 - 15:17:55)

OK AF we do get it, we really do. 1. You don’t like wearing a face mask. 2. You think everyone should not like wearing a mask because it is not normal. 3. People who wear masks are not behaving normally. I will tell you what I think is not normal and that is your obsession about masks and the not wearing of them. As and when it is not mandatory to wear masks people will make up their own minds so I suggest you stop going on and on about it and let people do what they think is best for them and others around them.

This IS the new "normal". Just as we had to adjust to a new "normal" after 9/11, World War II and World War I. Get used to it.
