Well dont come on here, if you want cheering up
- WENDY MARTIN (15th Oct 2021 - 10:06:10)

Dont get sick, it appears there wont be anyone to help you anymore.

Dont go to Sainsburys (our only Supermarket in Liphook)

Dont sort out your home there wont be anywhere to take it for re cycling.

Are things really this bad? shall we wait and see if the doctors surgery gets it together in the end, and maybe Sainsburys will open their fresh food counters soon? and maybe we should be prepared to wait before trying to take our rubbish for recycling. The times are hard, everyone has been affected by this pandemic, and if you are lucky enough not to have lost a loved one to it, be grateful.

We have just had our booster jabs, it went very smoothly, and everyone concerned was very nice. Whenever I have phoned the Liphook and Liss surgery I have always been treated well, and have spoken and seen, yes, seen, a doctor when it was necessary.

I can only of course speak from my own experiences, but do give and take a bit people, help and be kind to each other, somehow we all have to get through this, and make a good world for our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren

Hi Wendy- I couldn't agree more with your last paragraph but we should not let this sentiment stop us from questioning things that are happening that directly affect us.
I find it a good mix of the good the bad and the downright banal.

Amen to that!

We're all on here in the timeless tradition of having a good old moan and feeling the better for it, then predictably folk come on here to moan that we shouldn't moan, now that's irony!

On a serious note, apparently moaning helps, I read just recently that middle aged men are 3 times more likely to take their lives than any other demographic, apparently they have a tradition of 'holding it all in whatever' when really they're sinking, whereas women have always loved to natter and moan, doctors are now advising men to complain more.

This is ironic too, bearing in mind the current national difficulty in seeing a gp, they may get more moaning than they bargained for!

Actually it's only the very occasional rudeness from a small minority of people that lets things down on some threads, maybe that is all that needs to be cut out.

Good day and happy moaning to you allðŸ˜

Re: Well dont come on here, if you want cheering up
- Why so positive? (16th Oct 2021 - 17:52:31)

I'm fed up with people trying to be so positive.

Brexit has ruined any hope of a positive future for our country.

I'd normally cheer myself up by going for a long walk but I'm terrified of the local youths drug dealing in the village and, at Iron Hill, Lynchmere or Bramshott common my car will be smashed in, I shall be mugged and my dog stolen.

I can't afford to stay at home because the gas prices are too high to have the heating on - so I sit in the garden and everyone complains about my bonfire I light to keep me warm. I Can't even drive anywhere because I haven't been able to fill up with petrol.

I would try the pub, but they've been short of my favourite pint due to supply issues.

At least the bananas I bought from Sainsbury's in August are just about showing signs of turning yellow.
