Looking for sailing crew opportunities! - Lew (31st Jul 2021 - 16:12:18) Hi everyone, im just wondering if there are any sailors here that may need a helping hand for a day im pretty new but would like to learn and have my own lifejacket ect. Thanks Lew

Re: Looking for sailing crew opportunities! - another sailor (31st Jul 2021 - 20:40:17) If you're looking to learn how to sail, look at the sailing courses at Frensham Pond Sailing Club....once you complete a course there, that will open up more opportunities for dinghy sailing or to progress to being yacht crew :)

Hopefully somthing will open up most likely in 2022. Ive heard dinghy sailing would be a really good way yo get a feel for the way things interact with the wind quickley.

Re: Looking for sailing crew opportunities! - Andy (1st Aug 2021 - 11:42:34) Some of the country’s best sailors come from Frensham due to its technically demanding wind shifts etc. Stick with it, find a good helm who can teach you, it takes years to gain the knowledge to sail then once you have take that knowledge and race with it!! Although still interested if anything comes up here too! Also just finished my online RYA theory so making some progress!
