CREAM CAT
- Lottie (3rd Apr 2020 - 15:35:19)

Has anyone lost a cream coloured cat (?ragdoll) with bright blue eyes?
Seen today in Hazelbank Close looking lost and very hungry.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Rachel (3rd Apr 2020 - 18:40:33)

Is this the very scruffy looking cat? He has been hacked at in an attempt to remove some matting I believe.
Both the vets in the village know about him. He is un neutered and does not have a microchip!
Very very friendly cat if it's the same one.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Lottie (3rd Apr 2020 - 21:02:37)

That sounds like him. Very hungry but very distressed and needing to find his home.

Only the Headley Road vet seemed to know of him but Station Road took details so everyone is looking for his owner.

Was not able to keep him in, he is on a mission and disappeared up Hazelbank Close towards Collyers Crescent.

Please, is anyone missing him and wanting him home? He wants you.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Natalie (5th Apr 2020 - 12:13:41)

Hi everyone. This cat is in my garden every day. Does he have an owner? Does anyone know anything about him? I don't want to feed or encourage him if he has an owner, but am a little worried about him.

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (5th Apr 2020 - 14:31:25)

No, that's the point, no-one seems to know who he is but it would appear he has been cared for in view of his shaven state. Wonder if he has arrived by car from somewhere. Do feed him, he's so hungry and needy.
Are you far from Hazelbank?

Re: CREAM CAT
- Rachel (5th Apr 2020 - 14:56:14)

He doesn't appear to have an owner! He was taken to the vet and does not have a microchip.
Poor thing looks so skinny and pathetic. Must need worming at the very least.
I have to say, I myself would be inclined to feed him and try to gain his trust. He seams very friendly the one time I met him.x

Re: CREAM CAT
- Mrs K (5th Apr 2020 - 16:03:13)

He had lunch with us today. He is very friendly and seems to be lonely Unfortunately one of my cats took a dislike to him and chased him away. He appeared over the fence from Radford Park.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Natalie (5th Apr 2020 - 16:13:06)

Who took him to the vet and which vet? I might call them tomorrow to find out a little more. And how come he is back out again on his own if he had been taken to a vet? Just worried that if I do feed him he will abandon his own home - you know what cats are like! But equally he seems to like us and we would happily take care of him if he needs it. Such a friendly, sweet cat!

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (5th Apr 2020 - 17:53:24)

It was the vet in Headley Road but they weren't able to look after him. Still think he has probably arrived by car or the like so not able to find his way home.
Hope you can adopt him, Natalie, he wouldn't stay with me, seemed desperate to keep searching.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Rachel (5th Apr 2020 - 19:54:23)

Oh Natalie, please, if you are in a position to adopt him, I would say 'go for it'.
Such a friendly cat and obviously in need of some TLC.
Let us know how it goes x

Re: CREAM CAT
- Julie (5th Apr 2020 - 21:36:33)

As someone who has lost a cat - Dodger, probably via an unplanned car journey from Liphook to Haslemere area 6 weeks ago - I would say YES please do look after this cat!

I would hope that my lost cat is being fed and cared for by a lovely fellow human being right now.

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (6th Apr 2020 - 15:25:25)

Dear Julie
I'm so sad you haven't found Dodger yet
Why do you think he is in Haslemere?

Have you heard of the Pet Detectives whom you can employ to take Dodger's scent and put their sniffer dogs on the trail? Worth a try.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Alan (6th Apr 2020 - 17:17:51)

Seen in Erles Road this afternoon.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Hannah (6th Apr 2020 - 17:51:50)

Hi. I believe this cat has an owner and it lives in Huron drive and the owner says the cat is very friendly and likes to go into peoples property but has told a lot of people not to let it in or feed it.

Hope this helps

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (6th Apr 2020 - 18:30:31)

Really? Travels a long way!

Hope that is so but it did appear that he was cared for by the shaving.
I'd have to try and curb his wanderings if he was mine!

Re: CREAM CAT
- Mrs K (6th Apr 2020 - 18:54:06)

I do hope this is true, I would not normally feed a cat who pays a visit as I would not want anyone to feed mine; however this cat appears to be extremely distressed and wandering too far for a loved pet.

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (6th Apr 2020 - 20:43:10)

That's what I feel, Mrs K, since he was also very hungry and looking for something or someone. I would be inclined to continue feeding, it's just not fair for an animal to be hungry.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Wendy (6th Apr 2020 - 20:49:12)

I wonder if he belongs to the same home as the large very long haired black cat, Puds, that visits me every night. He wanders a long way too.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Hannah (6th Apr 2020 - 22:03:27)

If it’s the cat what’s been shaved then yes it has an owner. The cat is very friendly and wanders literally everywhere and goes into everyone’s property.

I do get worried it doesn’t get fed etc but I saw a post on Facebook with a photo of the cat and a comment and they tagged the owner and it’s been said it’s very friendly just don’t let it in the property or feed it.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Hannah (6th Apr 2020 - 22:06:08)

I have just seen a comment from the owner on the Facebook post saying this..

Thank you everyone for the concern 👍 he's a cat they wonder im afraid... He eats & sleeps(most nights) at home just like cats do.. Just shoo him away he will come home instead of trying his luck. 👍👍

Re: CREAM CAT
- Rachel (6th Apr 2020 - 22:16:33)

The other thing is, he has not been neutered! If he had a loving owner, surely they would have had him 'done'

Re: CREAM CAT
- Rachel (6th Apr 2020 - 23:46:16)

Ohh!

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (7th Apr 2020 - 10:51:27)

Imagine that's why he wanders!

Re: CREAM CAT
- Mrs J (7th Apr 2020 - 19:02:43)

He popped in to see us again today. I didn't feed or fuss him. It would be great if the owner could confirm he is a much loved pet, but a bit of a tart 😂

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (7th Apr 2020 - 20:34:13)

Yes, it would. He, pussycat, is now going to wonder what he's done to upset you - no lunch today! Too sad!

Re: CREAM CAT
- Georgie (12th May 2020 - 20:47:27)

I think we might have seen this cat get hit by a car at about 7:30pm tonight.

I have posted on FB Liphook Rants

We just saw a cat get hit by a car (approx 7:30pm). It was crossing the Haslemere Road - travelling from Chiltlee Close to Erles Road.
It ran into Erles Road, and crouched under a parked car. It looked like an old cream/pale long haired cat, possibly Persian, possibly shaved.
I couldn’t get close enough to check for a collar.
We tried knocking on a couple of doors in Erles Road and Chiltlee Close, but nobody knew the cat.
I’m worried it was able to walk, but might have other injuries.
Please pass on info to its owner if you know them.

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (12th May 2020 - 22:11:49)

Oh no, I was so afraid this would happen in view of his wanderings. Has anyone managed to find him?1

Re: CREAM CAT
- Linda Moaby (13th May 2020 - 00:14:18)

A cat that looked like the one you are discribing was at our door last night (Monday) He is very friendly and came in and took a look around then left. This was about 8 - 9 PM. We live in Wykwood. I.hope he found his way home.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Jo (13th May 2020 - 01:17:55)

the long haired black cat, puds is my cat. Not seen since just before lockdown. Always disappears for weeks at a time then decides to come home for a while then off he goes again. Last time he was back I managed to keep him in long enough to get him to the groomers to clear his matted fur. Many thanks to anyone that looks out for him when he is on his travels
Kind regards
Jo

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (13th May 2020 - 09:05:55)

But, Jo (anybody), what about the cream cat? He lately had a collar, on which was a telephone number and address in Huron Drive. So who is his owner and is he aware of the 'hit and run' above?

Re: CREAM CAT
- Georgie (13th May 2020 - 09:36:19)

The cat is home and well!!
I posted the accident on FB, and the owner read it.
She went to look for him and confirmed he is ok.
Phew!!

Re: CREAM CAT
- Jo (13th May 2020 - 13:43:46)

hi Lottie,
The cream cat is not mine and I don't know who is. Sorry
Regards
Jo

Re: CREAM CAT
- LOTTIE (13th May 2020 - 17:46:10)

Such good news after my sleepless night!
So glad he's OK.
Thanks, Jo, for your message.

Re: CREAM CAT
- Rosie (14th May 2020 - 17:06:20)

I had my front door open on Sunday and went into the kitchen, when I walked back into the hallway this cat was casually strolling through. Think we were both as shocked as each other as I let out a pathetic squeal and this dear cat darted off back out the door ... Glad this cat has a home, and is safe and well.
