Rock and Roll evening tomorrow - Dawn Hoskins (19th Jul 2019 - 17:37:56) I think there is a rock and roll evening in the village tomorrow? I saw it on facebook. Does anyone know if we need to buy tickets in advance - or is it just a turn-up and dance type of event? Many thanks

Re: Rock and Roll evening tomorrow - Dawn Hoskins (21st Jul 2019 - 12:00:54) Wow, What an amazing evening Really brilliant music and dancing all evening on a real wooden dancefloor. It is such a great atmosphere with very friendly and welcoming staff. We were amazed how inexpensive the drinks were too (which we needed on such a warm night when we were jiving our little feet off). We are ashamed to say that we have not attended this little gem more than a couple of times in the decades we have lived here - but this was such an enjoyable night that that may have to change! We will definitely go to any other 50's/60's nights So nice to be able to enjoy ourselves so close to home. We normally travel a long distance to go to venues where we can dance. I understand that for people who have purchased houses close to a venue that hosts events - that you may not like listening to all of the events. But for us - it was a really fab evening of entertainment and maybe the old adage - ''if you can't beat them - join them''' should be applied.
