Is it Wrong
- Yellow Bannanna Adrian (10th Jul 2019 @ 21:16:45)

Once again today the trains were badly delayed. This time it was a trespasser in the tunnels at Guildford.
Is it wrong to suggest ignore them keep the trains and electricity running and if they get run over tough luck it was their fault.
I know in out health and safety and snowflake culture it will never happen, but I think it would reduce the problems these idiots cause.

Well, theres two ways of looking at it Adrian.

One is to ensure the safety of everyone, be they the unfortunate individual on the tracks - and bear in mind please - that tbey might be having a really crap time and feeling suicidal.

Plus the well being of the train driver who, by stopping the trains, WON'T have to suffer the trauma of seeing another souls life ended by them as the train ploughs into them. My father worked on the railways in the 60s and knew drivers who never worked again because of stress and depression.

Then there is Adrians way of looking at it:

I'm too important to be held up. Why are we not moving? You're joking. Get on that train, kill the peasant

Yeah, your argument really holds up Adrian. I never thought I'd say this but I miss tbe days when you'd bang on about bananas. And finally, if you want yellow bananas open a pre packed bag and take them from there. Simple isn't it

That would be really nice for the innocent driver wouldnt it, just so your train runs on time. Engage brain before engaging mouth comes to mind.

Assuming there is a brain! An incredibly infantile post! or simple attention seeking

Here we all go again, feeding the Banana with replies, topping up the ego and reaffirming the fruit based brand.

Re: Is it Wrong
- Logistical Perspective (15th Jul 2019 @ 19:17:20)

From a purely logistical perspective, if during the impact the train suffered damage to the undercarriage, this could cause the train, or the track and equipment within the tunnel to break down.

This in turn would cause much longer delays as gaining access to the tunnel would mean suspending trains both ways, evacuating passengers on the broken down train, removing the broken down train and then repairing any damage sustained to the structure or the track.

One can think of it like using a hammer to open a beer bottle, whilst it may seem to lead the instant gratification, it's more likely just to lead to a shard filled drink
