South Western Railway
- Yellow Bannanna Adrian (22nd Mar 2019 - 06:08:31)

I really really really HATE SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY.

Once again they have ballsed up big time.

All lines to WATERLOO ARE SHUT. At present the trains are terminating at Guildford.

My problem i've just completed a 12 hr nightshift in London and im stuck in London.

They need to have their franchise taken away they are clearly incapable of running a railway service.

Never mind dear. Take a chill pill. Life is what it is. Look on the the bright side, there’s yellow bananas in Sainsbury’s this morning.

Over-running Engineering works I understand

The issue of overrunning engineering works is solely the responsibility of Network Rail. Much like signal failures, track circuit faults etc etc. A broken down train however is the responsibility of SWR. Let’s at least blame the right people.

Yes i am fully aware that the initial problem was overrunning engineering works.
However my point is as i have made before is that the cretins who run SWR are unable to problem manage and sort out problems.
The reason is that the SWR shut down the control room in Waterloo and moved it to Basingstoke to cut costs and increase their profits, therefore they no longer have experienced railway workers who were able to minimise the problems.
In addition being stuck at Clapham Junction and no staff can tell you what trains are running and when their running.
For example the questions i asked:
Q - Is the 0722 train running A - I don't know
Q - Are the trains running from waterloo A - I don't know
Q - When the next train to Liphook A - I don't know.
Q - Should i go to Guildford via Redhill using Southern and Great Western A - I don't know.

I'm not blaming the station staff they know nothing because the senior manager tell them nothing.

I never thought i'd support Jeremy Corbyn, but maybe taking the railways into public ownership is an answer, SWR DON'T have the answer.

Rest assured after 3 hours on 4 trains run by 3 companies - I STILL REALLY REALLY HATE SWR.

I caught the 7.15 train from Waterloo (the 7.pm was cancelled) and didn't get home until just after 9.30 pm! The 7.15 left Waterloo at 8.pm :-(
Recently the trains have been very poor time wise. So many delayed or cancelled, it's very frustrating.
