Bannannas
- Yellow Bannanna Adrian (19th Mar 2019 - 08:19:03)

Brace yourself Liphook. I went to Sainsburys yesterday and they had yellow bannannas.

I was so shocked i went home and had a lie down.

I'm still in shock.

Still taking complete bananas I see. Your pills are not working it seems.

Are Bannannas in any way related to Bananas?

Adrian, please accept my apology on behalf of some of the earlier posters, obviously newbies to our great village, their grandparents did not grow up eating Liphooks famous green bannannas, probably lived here less than 20 years and they dare to comment on village matters. Our position as global leader in the supply of green bannannas could be at stake, we must boycott the yellow monstrosities being peddled down in Newtown and consumed in trendy modern estates like the Berg.

Oldie I’m not totally sure what the Berg residents have to do with the ‘bannanna’ thread but I’m just glad if Sainsburys have any banana’s in stock regardless of colour these days! 😂 🍌

Never fear i had just had reports that Sainsburys are once again selling Green Bannannas only.

Blimey oldie, you must be ancient to think The Berg is a modern development! It was built between 1968 and 1971 and many of the residents are well into retirement. Perhaps you are part of that group of old time Liphook grumps that think anyone who hasn't got roots in the area going back to the war are yuppy outsiders.

Re: Bannannas
- oldie (22nd Mar 2019 - 11:01:31)

Ian, ha ha. It's called irony! Anyway if they've been here since the war they're probably settling in by now and will have decided whether they're going to stay or not.

This Bannannas thing is old, its been over used and frankly putting alot of people of using talkback, surely this is the weakest subject and posts on the forum? It was barely funny the first time and its now appeared in 12 post spanning a year with this spelling.

Can the moderator not ban this SPAM? Its like the site is now under the control of a few people, would you permit the same few people posting the same barely funny Knock Knock joke over and over again for over a year and in many of the posts on other subjects?

This is SPAM
