Cuckoo

I heard a cuckoo call on Friday afternoon. Am fairly sure it was the bird and not someone's mobile or other gadget as a friend has heard it at Hindhead. Has anyone else heard it? It's fairly early as a migrant and nice to think they are still around as they are not as common as when I was a child.

Heard one 10 days ago at Chapel Common (Rake). It is a frequent visitor so glad to hear it back once more

We hear them every year near Conford and the ranges - lovely!

Great news! We haven't heard it up our end of the village yet, but fingers crossed. In the old days, 1st May was called 'cuckoo day' so they're about right with their timing
