Summer Planting
- Liphook in Bloom (5th Jun 2023  21:03:59)

The flowerbeds have looked very bare for the last three weeks, but that is all about to change. On Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th June we will be planting all the summer bedding. Do come and help us if you can! It doesn't matter if you have never done anything like this before because we will show you what to do.
If you have any small gardening tools bring them along. We will be meeting in the Midhurst Road car park at 9.30am on both days - you don't have to do both - but you can if you would like to. We always have a tea/ coffee break mid morning - a good opportunity to make some new friends or catch up with old ones.

Make it a good end to volunteering Week.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out this morning for Day 1 of the big planting weekend. It was also lovely to see a few new faces - thank you. We've completed the Square, the planters on Station Road, and Liphook Station planters too. A huge thanks also go to The Lazy Lizard for giving us all coffee, and Guidos for a welcome jug of iced blackcurrant cordial.

Tomorrow we meet again at Midhurst Road Car Park at 9.30 and its the turn of the Millennium Bed, Sorting Office, Fletcher's Field and the Millennium Hall.

A reminder to anyone who has been growing on Terry's seeds for the Millennium Hall beds to bring them with them in the morning, or if you can't make it then please let us know and we'll come and collect them.

We would also appreciate a prayer to the weather gods for rain overnight for the next few days to give the plants a good start !!

Thanks again 🌞🌹πŸ₯€πŸŒΊπŸŒΈπŸŒΌπŸŒ»
