would any 1 happen to know why all of Headley Road ,right to pass field has road closed signs everywhere?also cars are going down Headley Rd even when it says road ahead closed??

Road is apparently closed on google maps from Standford Lane/Tulis Lane junction to junction at Lindford ford. Not sure why they couldn't put closure signs opposite Passfield stores and divert via A325 bypass round Bordon as High Street is also closed in Bordon. Headley road is still open for residents access.

How about further out towards Bordon?

As already said it's because there is a road closure about 5 miles away from the Liphook sign.

So it beggars belief why there's not only a sign in The Square, but the fact that it's half blocking the lane and needs to be shifted also needs to be addressed

With regard to traffic signage in the square.

For over eighteen months there has been a yellow 'Diversion Left' sign on the A3 pointing traffic on to the slip road leading to London Road. Traffic then leaves the A3 passing two red signs advising there are no road markings, these have been there for almost eight months.

On approaching the Square from the the London Road, drivers are confronted with three . . . yes, that's three, yellow diversion signs in the space of three or four yards. The first indicates 'Diversion Right' on to the Headley Road. The second yellow signs says 'Diversion Ends'. The third says 'Diversion Left'.

Those drivers selecting the right hand turn into the Headley Road are then confronted with a red 'Road Ahead Closed Access Only' sign with cones barring traffic accessing the Headley Road. There is helpfully another yellow 'Diversion Right' advising drivers to proceed back down the London Road !

You could not make it up!

Road signs should bear the name of the contractors carrying out the work so that confusion on this scale can be sorted out before there is an accident.

All this traffic sign fiasco reminded me that a few months back I was driving home from Hindhead at the two roundabouts over the A3, the tunnel slip road was shut and clearly the van behind me wanted to go through the tunnel to head north. The diversion sign pointed south onto the A3 towards Liphook, where it directed you to the square, along Haslemere Road, at this point I turned off into my road and the van followed me. He thought I was following the same diversion, but I was just going home! He only wanted to get to Thursley poor fellow I directed him to Haslemere, Milford and back south on the A3,I would have directed him back to Hindhead and past the Lilly in the Valley but I didn't have the heart, but why they directed the traffic through Liphook Square when it could have gone down the A287 I found ludicrous.

Hi. Does anyone know when the road will be open again and what are they doing. (pot holes would be nice). I have tried the Hampshire highways website but could not find anything. Thanks.
