F1 Disqualification - F1 enthusiast (24th Nov 2025 14:14:04)
Something different - what do the F1 followers think of the latest ruling at Las Vegas both the McLarens disqualified for less than half the width of a hair . Would they have disqualified Verstappen for the same offence.

I suppose it’s fair if you’ve read the rules and regulations. The lower the car the quicker it goes. Ferrari had this back in 1999 when Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine were disqualified cos the barge board was too short, this left Hakkinen with the drivers championship at the time with one race left and a 12 point margin. but the team did appeal and win so both cars were reinstated and McLaren do have their right to appeal I believe. I love F1 and you can ask me anything 😉!

I think all teams push the boundaries, and in this case McLaren took a conscious decision to run the cars for max downforce.
They knew the risk.
Very obvious during the race that they were running low due to the sparks.
In the past other teams were DQ’d for the same thing, so it was fair to disqualify.
