Work in school playing field
- Terry (31st Mar 2015 - 18:41:11)

Just being a bit nosy. -
What's happening to the playing field in the school grounds in the Avenue. Surely it's not short time parking for mums to drop off the kids. Not holding my breath

Multi purpose all weather sports surface I believe. Like AstroTurf but better, thinks its called MUGA

Shame, this ruins any future hope of an in and out drop off point, as the trees are protected.
What ever has happened re the yellow lines?

I think you will find the kids will far prefer their playing field to be replaced with an all weather playing surface than a car drop off area. I also suspect that local clubs will also get more benefit from this. No doubt a few residents of the avenue would prefer to see the playing field used for their benifit so as to alleviate the inconvenience for hour or so each day when parents drop of their kids

it wont be just the school drop off and pick up traffic, it'll be the clubs using the new area now too, the parents watching etc parking down the Avenue in the evenings too.
Please bring on the yellow lines!

Is it to be available for community use as well then? or just so that the school has facilities to use in our usual damp weather?
