Bramshott
- R. Hartland (13th Mar 2015 - 17:01:19)

The council, not sure which one, have erected new signs at the end of Church Road for Bramshot. Oh dear two expensive new signs with incorrect spelling. I suppose that the tax payer will have to spend more money for two with the correct name.

Email me a picture, please

Sorry I do not have the ability to send you a picture of the offending signs.

I have informed District Council. At least people are looking at the signs! Hopefully drivers will also pay attention to the message.

Yesterday I drove passed the men erecting the signs - shortly after having to back up the whole of Church Road because the driver of the most massive lorry decided to take a short cut down there and then, being nearly wiped out by a lady driver who obviously thought her car was as wide as a bus!
I wonder if the sign, even if spelt correctly, will prevent such complete muppetry?

The signs have been taken down only the posts now left!

Lets hope they stay down. Ugly and a complete waste of money as they will not change people's driving habits.

I have also notice the spelling of Grigg's Green differs on the North and Southbound approaches to the A3 junction.

On one it is spelled "Griggs Green" on the other it is "Griggsgreen". Which is correct?

Until recently there was a finger post in Whitehill that said LIPOOK!

Paul Robinson

Griggs Green is the correct name.
