Couch to 5k course starting September
- Daniel Allaway (30th Aug 2017 - 22:05:26)

Couch to 5k Group Starting in September

Have you been inspired by the athletics - do you want to lose weight - do you want to improve your fitness but don't know where to start?

Having run two successful Couch to 5k programs in the last year I will be running another program in Liphook starting on September 18th, meeting on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.

This group will get you from not running at all to running a 5k in 11 weeks.
The group will start with run and walk rests over the first few weeks, building up over the 11 weeks to complete a 5k.

I am a qualified UK Athletics running coach who is insured and has the relevant licence to coach.

Only 15 places available.

Thank you Debbie for this recommendation.

I took part in Dan's last Couch to 5K and cannot recommend the course highly enough.
I was very nervous about joining the course, (I am a 40 something, overweight, and when I started, very, very unfit individual). However, Dan and his support team were amazing. The course is challenging, however, most importantly, is great fun.
Dan is an excellent coach, he is very aware of the capability of each individual in the group and tailors the training to each person, whilst keeping the group together as a whole.
The added benefit being, you get an opportunity to meet new people, and in my case, I have been lucky enough to make some new friends.
If you are even thinking about considering doing it, I urge you to sign up. It really is a fantastic course and a great achievement when you run your first 5K.

This really is a fantastic course for those wishing to take up running. It was the best thing I did and I'd never ran before starting this course last year.

Daniel is a very patient running coach and caters for everyone's individual needs.

From walking to running 5km in 11 weeks is achievable for everybody, you don't have to be a fast runner at all.
