Liphook Carnival Walk
- Rob Harris-Dibben (16th Aug 2017 - 09:37:49)
SUNDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 2017
If you talk the talk in support of the Liphook Carnival then why not walk the Walk and help us raise much needed funds to cover the running costs.
We have different routes each year to keep it interesting and this makes it a great way to explore the local countryside. So if you fancy responding to the call of nature as well as the Carnival then READ ON.
This year we have three circular routes to choose from, approximately 3.5, 9 and 11.5 miles, which all start and finish at The Deers Hut pub.
The walk will depart from The Deers Hut, Longmoor Road, Griggs Green, Liphook, Hampshire, GU30 7PD at 9.45am on Sunday 10th September 2017, registration opens at 9am in the pavilion at the back.
Entry is £6 per adult and £3.00 for under 16’s or it is free if you are sponsored for an amount over the entry fee and for under 6 year olds. There is an added incentive to get sponsorship!!!! We are offering a prize for the highest sponsorship obtained which will be announced on the day.
You can obtain a sponsorship form by calling Rob or Alison on 01428 723331 or 07979 803805. The Deers Hut will be catering with bacon butties, tea, coffee etc available before the walk in exchange for a donation (all proceeds going to the Liphook Carnival) and lunches are available afterwards but they strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Stout walking boots are recommended of course to avoid injuries and dogs are very welcome.
Last year we had just over 40 walkers attend the event and we made approximately £430.00 so this year it would be great to see an even better turn-out.
