Roadworks in the Village
- Dee (17th Jul 2017  15:00:14)

It took me over half an hour to get from the rec to the first roundabout at lunchtime today. Does anybody know what is going on and how long it's likely to last? There didn't seem to be any actual work going on and google hasn't brought anything up. Thanks

Apparently there is water main work going on in Headley Road, Tower Road, Portsmouth Road and Longmoor Road, perhaps this has something to do with it. This news is on the Breeze Traffic news.

They appeared to have "half set up" the roadworks. Fortunately someone moved the inactive lights to enable the traffic flow in the end.

Talked to the guys who set upthe lights whilst we were trying to water the baskets in the square, threwas supposed to be a BT crew coming to do something by the crossing by Lloyds Bank.

Lights were set up just after 9 and by 11 there was still no sign of BT!!!!
and the guys who set the lights up were having to put up with the abuse as there was no one working in the road.

Perhaps BT will turn up tomorrow?
